We have a Teltonika 4g kit that is set to passthrough mode to our Fortigate router, we are having difficulties setting up a VPN connect when going through the 4g link, we have set up the vpn connection through the FTTP connection and it works so not sure we have set it up correctly for the 4g kit.

Hello,

Just to clarify, you're setting up the VPN connection on a Fortigate router?

In passthrough mode, our router shares the same IP address between the LAN device (Fortigate in this case) and itself. In this mode, the router provides some limited functions.

If you'd like the router to only act as a gateway between 4G WAN and Fortigate, then bridge mode might help in resolving this issue, as it completely eliminates our router from the equation.

Yes the VPN will be set up on the Fortigate itself.

Oh so it might be best to set it up on bridge mode not passthrough? ok thanks for that.
