Under FAILOVER, mob1s1a1 has the Interval set to 14400 but the Internal Modem "Bytes Received / Sent" goes up every 3 seconds!?

Real Time Data Traffic doesnt show any traffic over the MOB1S1A1 ... all traffic is over LAN & WAN, as it should be when not in fail mode.

I just moved from FW 2.05.02 and did not have this problem.

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up.

Internal Modem section in Overview window does seem to be conflicting with actual mobile data consumption, even compared to the more recent 7.2.7 firmware.

It will be forwarded to the development team to look into further.

Best regards,

Why is it sending/receiving data every 3 seconds when it is set to 14400 seconds?

... 'Overview / Internal Modem' shows 2MB of data used in only 10 hrs... while idle!? Is this correct or is the 'Mobile Usage' section correct?

Is it actually sending data?

Could you login to the device via SSH and execute the command:

  • tcpdump -i wwan0

to see if there is actually any packet transmission/reception happening on mobile interface, as currently, it is not clear, what these counters are actually monitoring after 7.3 update.

The next step could be to record those packets to a .pcap file using -w option for analysis with Wireshark, to check, what kind of traffic is this and how to prevent it.
