Is my device is broken? I cant find eth1 using the ifconfig command. Just got the device and 4g works well but cant get wan via ethernet to work.

i have updated to the latest firmware(RUT2_R_00.07.03.3) overwriting the old configuration as recommended.

root@Teltonika-RUT240:~# ifconfig -a

Hello,

It might be hardware malfunction.

I would like you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question.

First, try to replicate the issue by restarting your device, then, after it boots, connect something to its WAN port. This might generate some log entries. Then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.

Best regards,

I attached the troubleshoot file, to me it looks like hardware malfunction. I just want to make sure before sending it back.

You could try to flash device firmware using bootloader menu. For instructions refer here.

However, if that does not help, return the device to your reseller for warranty repair or replacement.

Best regards,

I followed the instruction exactly and tried several times but the device will not start the bootloader. I release the reset button after 4-8 seconds while all leds is blinking. But every time it just starts normally, as soon as i release the reset button the leds stops blinking and the device boots in normal mode.

The LEDs should start blinking slightly faster after the the button is released. Have tried both, holding the button for 4 and 8 seconds, but the device I tested entered bootloader menu without any issues.

In this case, return the device.

Best regards.

Thanks i will return it.
