I'm having a RUT300 and want to have the router set to 192.168.0.50 and my DHCP-range set to 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.255.

The router is preventing me from having these settings due to the limitation of 0-255 in the start IP. What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

A troubleshoot file would be helpful in this case. It can be generated by navigating to System → Administration → Troubleshoot. This file can be attached to the original question and will only be visible to Teltonika moderators.

A few things to keep in mind regarding this issue:

  • We always recommend using the latest firmware version;
  • Make sure the netmask is set correctly - in your case a netmask of /23 (255.255.254.0) will be needed, since if you are using the default netmask of /24, the usable IP range is 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254. Setting the netmask to /23 will expand your network to the range of 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.1.254.
  • DHCP range cannot end in 192.168.1.255, as this address is used for broadcast by default and cannot be used by the clients.
  • When the field to enter the range of DHCP addresses turn red, it should show the reason why the range cannot be set.
Best regards,

Thanks! The upgrade solved it with the new way of setting the DHCP-lease settings
