Hi there,

is the only way to setup identical configurations for the same router type?

I setup one RUT955 and now I hoped I could use the backup of this router to setup identical routers.

I have the same firmware on both routers but I get a

"The selected backup file is not compatible with this device, please choose another file. "

Is there an easy way to copy the complete settings from one router to another?
Or is the only way to write an own script as someone described here?

We have multiple instances and it would be super handy to just copy the settings.

Hello,

You can try to copy configuration files from the router using scp/WinSCP as instructed in this page and move them to another router. The directory with the configuration is /etc/config.
