There is a bug in latest firmware (RUT2_R_00.07.03.4) for RUT240 and RUT950. When you create OpenVPN server and set keepalive to any value (fe. 10 120) in GUI and then save and apply configuration, than config file which is created 'under the hood' to run OpenVPN server omits 'keepalive' and specified values. In result there is no internal heartbeat between client and server. Ping and ping-restart aren't pushed to client and client reconnection restarts all over. When client doesn't receive 'push ping' and 'push ping-restart' from server, then it uses these values specified in client .ovpn config file and restarts every x seconds defined in keepalive whether there is a reason for it or not. This makes OpenVPN unusable. Anyone can confirm??

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up.

Indeed the issue is replicable.

I have forwarded it to the development team. It should be solved in future firmware releases.

Best regards,

Solution to this issue will be included in 7.4 firmware, which is planned by the end of the next week.

Best regards,
