We are using RUT240  with latest firmware in bridge-mode to directly connect two devices via ETH0 and ETH1.

The two devices are using a specific TCP-ethernet protocol over port 7447.

The first device is running (and waiting for the other device), the second device is started after RUT240.

Depending on startup-time the communication between the two devices is working or not:

Scenario 1:

=> First device is running

=> RUT240 is powered up

=> Second device is powered up

=> router is working after a few seconds (first device is indicating the proper connection to RUT240)

=> communication between the two devices is not working

Scenario 2:

=> First device is running

=> RUT240 is powered up

=> Second device is powered up after a while (eg. 90 seconds)

=> communication between the two devices is working

Is there any known behavior, why the startup time of RUT240 is relevant?

Thanks

Hello,

When using bridge mode, you should wait for your RUT device to fully boot up, connect to the operator, and obtain an IP address. This can take some time. Then, RUT will pass the obtained IP address via DHCP to the device in LAN. When RUT240 is ready, then you can connect your LAN device (or you can restart your device if its connected).

You can find more information here.

Kind Regards,
