After DFU on bootloader menu, how to set new password on RUT240 wth RutOS 1.14.6 ?

1. I flashed RUT240 with RutOS 1.14.6 firmware

2. After WebUI login with "admin:admin01", I set the new password "fck48546BA" with set new-password page

3. The page is updated to Login page

4. On the login page, I input the new password "fck48546BA", but RUT240 shows "invalid password" error.

5. Then I tried admin password with "admin01", the new-password page is shown again.

Hello,

What was the primary reason for update via bootloader menu?

Does the device save other settings than the password?

Do the settings remain after device reboot?

Could you attach a troubleshoot file to your question?

To generate the file, first, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.

Best regards,

This is to confirm the operation of RUT240 with TELTONIKA's firmware, which may be faulty.

No.

> Do the settings remain after device reboot?

I can't check because I can't change the admin password and also cannot use WebUI.

I cannot, because I cannot use WebUI for this RUT240.

I found it is no problem with Safari 16.3 browser, but trouble with Chrome  110.0.5481.177.

I am using macOS 13.2.1.

Could you try clearing the cache of Chrome or trying to access the WebUI in incognito mode?

Bet regards,

Thank you for your advice.

WebUI worked with Chrome (111) guest mode window.
