Hi

My RUTX11 has been randomly rebooting without any obvious cause. Latest firmware. No changes made prior to rebooting behaviour

Troubleshooting file attached.

What could be the cause?

Thanks

The router ran fine for a couple of days and just rebooted itself.

Having followed instructions below, new troubleshooting file was generated after reboot. https://community.teltonika-networks.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=16605671477288866412

The device does seem to reboot out of nowhere, the logs do not indicate any issues. Could you try a couple of things:

  • Access router via CLI/SSH and execute the following command:
    • printf 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/panic_on_oops
    • See if reboots still occur.
  • Reset the device via bootloader menu. You will need to reconfigure the device again afterwards. Detailed instructions on recovery procedure are provided here: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTXxx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu
  • If the above do not help, return the device for warranty repair or replacement.

Best regards,

Hello,

No indication in the attached file of what could be the cause of the reboots.

Was the router rebooting with previous firmware versions?

I would like you to enable log saving to flash memory, to preserve logs after reboot:

  • Login to router's WebUI;
  • Navigate to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot;
  • Under Logging settings section set Save log in option to Flash memory, or, if possible, save logs in some remote host;
  • After the device becomes restarts, generate a new troubleshoot file.
  • Attach the file by editing your original question.

Best regards,
