I have an RUT995 router.

The antennas cables  much too long for my usecase.

What do you do with it?

Roll up? How? Big loops?

Shorten?

I want to lose as little signal strength as possible.

Or even use other antennas?

How is your experience / recommendation?

Thank you

Hi,

yes thank you - I have already seen this solution.

But I am interested in whether the cable length or the type of cable winding has an influence on the signal strength.

By default, a 3m cable is included.

Since many have to face the challenge that this is too long, right?

Thank you and best regards

If you have a good signal then the standard antenna's are fine.

Personally, i don't like to go over 5M as you can start to see a lot of loss over much more.

It is always better to get the antenna close to the mobile networks signal as possible. Sometimes a 10M lead is the only option.
