In the user manual it is mentioned, that the device is intended to be powered from a Limited Power Source (LPS) that does not exceed 15 W in power consumption

and the current rating of overcurrent protective device should not exceed 2 A.

Our power supply has more than 15W in power.

Is it o.k. when we build in a overcurrent protective device of 2A to meet the safety requirements?

Hello,

Could you let us know where did you find this information in RUT230 user's manual?

When powering RUT230, simply make sure that supplied voltage is in between 9 and 30 VDC. We recommend to use higher quality power supplies, because some power supplies can produce voltage peaks significantly higher than the declared output voltage, especially during connection and disconnection.

More detailed information about RUT230 powering options can be found here:

Does that mean, that the following information in the user's manual is not valid anymore?

-The device is intended to be powered from a Limited Power Source (LPS) that does not exceed 15 W in power consumption and the current rating of overcurrent protective device should not exceed 2 A.
