We have 3 RUTX11s set up with PPPoE on the WAN interface and a VZW sim for failover.

Within RMS the "WAN State" is listed as "Mobile" but it is showing the IP Address of the WAN interface.

When we pull the cable and force it to cellular, the IP Address does update the the one associated with the modem.

When we plug it back in, the IP Address switches back to the WAN address, but the "WAN State" stays on "Mobile"

Looks like RMS is "mis-reporting" the WAN State for a PPPoE connection.  When testing with dhcp on the WAN interface (from another ISP/source)  RMS reports as expected.

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up.

Could you attach a troubleshoot file from one of your devices to the main question by editing it? Make sure its WAN interface is configured to PPPoE, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. I would forward this issue to RMS team to develop a solution in the upcoming updates. The details in the file will help to determine the cause quicker.

Best regards,
