Hello

I have a RUTX50 that resets the modem after a few minutes. In the log (below is the whole log section) I see the following before the modem restarts:

mobifd: [gsm.modem0] Config reload initiated

The router had previously worked without problems for about two months and I am not aware of what should have changed. Before resetting the router I would like to find out the error because I have other such routers in use and I want to prevent the error if possible.

Firmeware I am using now is 7.04.2, but happened with 7.03.X too.

Can someone tell me where this can come from?

Thanks for your help and advice.

Hello,

I would like you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question. Please, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.

Best regards,

Find attached the Log. Last case was about 1:00. Log File

The device was rebooted after the issue occurred, thus no records in the logs were retained. Current file does not indicate any issues, it successfully establishes mobile connection and that is pretty much that can be said.

The only suspect at the moment is the mobile signal quality, as parameters, by which it is evaluated, are not very good. This can be influenced by many factors like tower load, day of the time, weather conditions, device placement, antennas.

Otherwise, please generate a new file, while the issue is present before device reboot.

Best regards,

Hello,

Is this the only device, with similar behavior?

Are all other routers using Swisscom operator as well?

I see that you have custom APN configured. Are you using the router in some private network?

Is this APN for 5G network?

Could you check, if changing router's Network type option in Network -> Mobile -> General to 4G (LTE) only has any impact?

Best regards,

Hello

Yes, I have it only with this specific Router and only sometimes. Then after some time the router works again but the issue happens again later...

We use a custom VPN in the Swisscom network. Swisscom can do 5G.

And I already changed it to 4G for testing it. Same issue with 4G....

Can you see why this happens? Becase the network signal/connection is always good and not in a car/moviong.

Thnaks.
