Apparently my new RUT240 does not perform as expected after careful positioning.

4G/LTE Signal Strength: -51 dBm
RSRP -76 dBm

RSRQ -9 dB
SINR 4.7 dB

Speedtest by Ookla: Downstram 26/24 Mbps | Upstream 17/7 Mbps | Ping 40/47 ms via WLAN (2,4Ghz) WPA2
Speedtest by Ookla: Downstram 39/24 Mbps | Upstream 19 Mbps | Ping 40/47 ms via LAN

Is that fine?

Does the new firmware improve the radio performance?
Is there something I can do to get better throughput, while maintaining signal stability, without an external antenna?

A mainstream consumer product of the same price level in the same scenario performs as follows:

4G/LTE Signal Strength: 50%
RSRP -78 dBm
RSRQ -12 dB
SINR 4.4 dB

Speedtest by Ookla: Downstram 52 Mbps | Upstream 21 Mbps | Ping 40 ms via WLAN (5 Ghz) WPA2

Thank you.

Hi,

Seems you are comparing two different devices, one with 2.4 GHz wifi and another with 5 GHz device.

"A mainstream consumer product of the same price level in the same scenario performs as follows:" - which exactly model you used? Does the same SIM card was used?

by
Indeed. I used the same SIM card.
My new RUT240 is exactly a RUT24006E00 model with RUT2XX_R_00.01.06.1 (2019.03.18) firmware.
The competing product was a 4G/LTE AC1200 (2.4 GHz + 5 Ghz) Wi-Fi consumer router.
Both devices connected to the same BTS (LTE Band 1) at the same time of the day with repeated tests.

Thank you.
