Hi,

Have a RUT240 setup in hotspot mode, external radius, local landing page. I can authenticate users through the external radius by returning access-accept or access-reject but how do I disconnect a user if the user reaches a specific data usage threshold?

For example I want to limit the user to have only 50MB, is there a AVP that i can include in the access-accept or accounting response to tell the router to disconnect the user after so much usage?

I see that accounting interim update is sent every 5 min per user and if i dont reply to the account interim update, the RUT still allows the user to use internet.

Please advise. Thanks

Hello,

You can set data limits if you use our internal Radius Server (https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/Hotspot#Radius_Server), unfortunately we can't consult you on configuring external Radius server as it should be a feature of the server itself.

Hi,

I do have control of the external radius server.

There is a vendor specific AVP that I found that can be used in the access accept reply.

AVP: CoovaChilli-Max-Total-Octets

This does limit the user to certain amount of data, there is some overhead though.
