Since updating to firmware  R_00.06.04.5  Hourly  my security appliance is reporting an uplink failure and then immediately uplink restored This event can be seen in the Teltonika's Log.

Any ideas what might be causing this?  I have changed nothing except updating the firmware.

Hello Mark,

Passthrough mode leases the IP address of your RUT9XX wwan0 interface to the device which MAC is specified in the configuration. Leasing IP address is being done through DHCP protocol and lease time is 1 hour.

Once the lease expires, it’s automatically renewed and that’s why there’s a log in your security appliance.

Is there a way to increase the default lease time?

I have not configured DHCP on this device, this behaviour was not occurring pre- firmware upgrade.

Hi,

Have you contacted your ISP about this issue? DHCP lease time is actuallytwo minutes in Passthrough mode so the lease should be renewed every minute, not every hour.

I have contacted my ISP. they don't use DHCP leasing my 4G connection has a fixed IP that connects and authenticates with PPOE to a radius server, The connection once authenticated remains always on using the keep alive packets to miantain the connection.

We'll add the option back in the next firmware. Meanwhile, you can use this test FW which has the lease time option. However, I do not recommend using it in multiple device and I suggest upgrading to the standard version when the new one comes out.
