Hello,

In order to switch on a relay in case of device failure, I would like to realize an external watchdog for a RUT955.

Could you advice me to approach the subject ?

I imagine an heartbit on the 1/6 pins and the answer on the 3/4/8 pins but how to reset the device ?

Any other approaches ?

Hello,

You can configure I/O on RUT955 so when digital input (pin 1 and 3) are triggered router can perfome couple of actions one of which is reboot the device, see attached picture:

More information can be found in our Wiki page: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT955_Input/Output

Your solution supposes that the RUT955 is always alive.

And if the RUT955 is in a loop, is the Reboot possible ?

when digital input (pin 1 and 3) are triggered

Is the pin 3 an input ?

Hello,

Appologies, digital input (pin 1 and 6). What do you mean by loop?

CPU usage at 100%

Busy by a process (for example)

I guess an external reboot can be done only by switching off/on the power supply (by a relay)
