I would like to send serial data over GSM network.

Can the TRB142 (RS232) be used to transfer serial data over GSM network to a PC with static IP, running a terminal program?

Hello,

Yes, it's possible. In the RS232 configuration you need to set up:

• Serial type: Over IP
• Mode: Server. 
• TCP port: preferred port number

Then in the Network → Firewall → Port Forwards page create a rule that forwards data coming to the port number specified in RS232 config, to your PC's IP:port.
