Hi

I have 2 RUT955 and use MPLS VPN.

I also want to build an IPsec between the two.

Now I get the error message: error writing to socket: permission denied.

even if I try with traceroute to reach the IP of the other router. There I get the message permission denied.

All other IP I can ping and reach via traceroute.

Can it be caused by any firewall?

I'm using the latest firmware.

I found this setting.
The broadcast address is that of the other router.
Is traffic blocked here?
How can I change the broadcast address or the mask of the mobile connection? Or is this done via the provider?

          inet addr:xxx.0.214.14  Bcast:xxx.0.214.15  Mask:255.255.255.252
          inet6 addr: xxxx::xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx/64 Scope:Link

Hi,

Regarding to changing the Broadcast IP address if you used 192.0.214.14 as host address the next will be broadcast
that would be 192.0.214.15 when your'e using subnet  /30.

It's already clear that the next address is Broadcast.
I get the IP xxx.0.214.14, mask 255.255.255.252 and broadcast (xxx.0.214.15) address from the provider.
My remote station now has exactly the broadcast address (xxx.0.214.15) as WAN IP. Ok
