Hello,

It's any possibility to make your own default configuration for RUTX09. A goal is have ability to access to RUTX09, by ssh or web, in case if there it requested a remote factory settings restore (or it maked accidentally by 3rd party users). By default a WAN access to RUTX09 is blocked from FW, i want to make it allowed from specific IP address once a RUTX09 is restored with default settings.

Hi,

There are a few options:

• Compiling a custom FW with necessary default settings.
  • Upside: gets the job done and is completely free.
  • Downside: the software development kit (SDK) for RUTX is not yet ready. Also, whenever a new firmware comes out, you would either have to skip the upgrade or compile another custom firmware based on the new SDK.
• Asking Teltonika to create a custom product code with a custom FW.
  • Upside: Teltonika would periodically merge new updates with your custom FW.
  • Downside: this would result in extra costs and there is minimum order quantity (MOQ).
• Using RMS.
  • Upside: always maintain remote access to the device independent of its configuration (as long as it has an active Internet connection).
  • Downside: not free.
