Hello!

My setup:

Laptop(192.168.10.10)---#cable"---RUT955 LAN(192.168.10.1)/OpenVPN client tun0(10.8.0.3)-----#internet#-----Server with public IP, tun0(10.8.0.1).

My goal here is to use the RUT for accessing our radio club equipment and also using it for general internet access (through the tunnel or not, does not matter). The RUT has a 4G mobile SIM.

I saw in another post you can disable the firewall for testing. While doing that

 * I can ping 10.8.0.3 from the public server, but not 192.168.10.10 or .1
 * From the laptop I can ping  10.8.0.3 but not 10.8.0.1
 * From the router I can ping anything (this is possible with the firewall active as well).

With the firewall out of the way I thought I could just add some static routes in the RUT to make the laptop pingable from the server. Added a route on the public server to route 192.168.10.0/24 through 10.8.0.1, and I can see the ping packets (tcpdump) going through server tun0 when trying to ping 192.168.10.1, but no answer. Added route to 192.168.10.0/24 via 192.168.10.1 in the router (from tun0... Am I supposed to do this?) but that didn't help.

Please help me set up a route so I can ping the RUT LAN address. Then I might figure things out. =)

Best regards, Jonas

Hello,

If you want to access OpenVPN client from OpenVPN server side you need to configure TLS client on the server side - https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/OpenVPN_configuration_examples#Reaching_a_device.27s_LAN_network
