We used ModBUS to read periodically GPS data and GSM signal strength from RUT955 via PLC and SCADA system.

Now, "upgrading" to RUTX11 to get faster device, I can not find a way how to read required information. ModBUS not working, REST API missing, ... will you help me, please? I hope I do not need to go back to RUT955! Thx.

I found the way.

JSON-RPC works on RUTX11 as well as on 955. So according the manual I wrote node.js rutine, that reads the data periodically. It works well.

Currently this feature is in development.

Could you please tell us more? When could we expect which technology to read the data from the router?

... in other words - should I switch back to 955 or "something" is really close to be released?

Thanks

Hi,

Router GPS and GSM data reading via Modbus can be expected in next firmware release. However, at the moment there is no exact release date, but since last firmware was released at 01.15, new version can be expected no earlier than first half of march.
