GPS fix not possible without SIM card inserted

Hi,

I have an international RUT955 and have found that the GPS module will not get a fix unless there is an active SIM card. When WAN is on WiFi there is a N/A.

Firmware is: RUT9XX_R_00.06.06.1

Hi Nathan,

 It is very important to attach the GPS antenna on the router and place it outside (not inside of a building). The router will not be likely to obtain a GPS fix otherwise. Have you done that?

Yes, it's attached to a high spec external antenna placed on the roof.

It works when an active SIM is inserted, but does not work if SIM is not present when on WiFi backhaul.
