Hi,

running ver6 firmware, notice that gsmd dies, which causes gsmctl not to work.

Originally I thought it was a script I was running to read SMS via gsmctl, but I've disable my script and after about a couple of minutes, gsmd is no longer listed via "ps"

[email protected]:~# /usr/sbin/gsmctl -S -l all

Index: 1

Date: 2020-03-25 12:36:57

Sender: Telstra@

Text: Coronavirus Aus Gov msg: To stop the spread, stay 1.5m from others, follow rules on social gatherings, wash hands, stay home if sick. aus.gov.au

Status: read

------------------------------

Index: 2

Date: 2020-03-30 11:07:19

Sender: +6140000000

Text: reboot XeTcX40$

Status: read

------------------------------

[email protected]:~# /usr/sbin/gsmctl -S -l all

Alarm clock

[email protected]:~# /usr/sbin/gsmctl -S -l all

Failed to find gsmd ubus object

GSMCTL: modem error

[email protected]:~# ps

usr/sbin/gsmd no longer running

At the moment I've edited /etc/init.d/gsmd

changed this line "procd_set_param respawn"

to "procd_set_param respawn 3600 5 0"

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are already looking where could be the problem with our RnD department. Hopefully we will solve this issue soon.

Best regards,
VidasKac.

Hello,

New firmware upgrade with this issue fixed is almost ready, but still being tested. If everything is fine we can expect it upcoming couple of weeks, but please do not take my words for granted, since if inconsistencies or other issues will be found it can be delayed, depending on how long it will take to fix.

Best regards,
VidasKac
