Is it ok to insert or remove SIM cards with the power on in RUTX11?

Should the RUTX11 be powered down before inserting or removing a SIM card, or is it ok to do that while it is running?

Hi,

Yes, it is totally fine inserting and removing SIM cards while the router is in a working state.

Though you will have to restart the mobile modem for SIM card to be detected.

You can find that option by clicking on a little information icon next to the Mobile section on the Overview page.

OR

Navigating to Status > Network > Mobile.

Could this modem restart be done automatically (programmatically, linux) somehow? Is there an “event” triggered that can be catch and handled? Could such a feature maybe be added in a future firmware?
