Hi,

I have a rut950 modem (see the spex bekow). I am not able to lock the LTE frequency to 1800 mhz. I dont see the option to choose the band in the webui. I have tried the gsmctl -A AT+QCFG / gsmctl -A AT^SYSCFGEX commands but I only get ERROR as the response. I cannot either see the used band in the WebUI under Status/Network/connected band (I only see a - character). Could it be that my hardware model is to old to be able to lock the frequency/band?

My modem connects to a cell that has both 800 and 1800 frequencies. The problem is that the rut950 uses the 800 Mhz frequency that is much slower than the 1800 mhz frequency. My iphone connects to the 1800 mhz frequency and is much faster that my rut950 modem even though the rut950 modem has a external antenna that is directed to the cell.

Hello,

Regarding this query of yours you can do it on the Network > Mobile > Network Frequency Bands.

You can refer to this link for more information: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT950_Mobile#Network_frequency_bands

Hope it helps

The problem is that I don’t have the ”Frequency Bands” option in my router. My firmware version is RUT9XX_R_00.06.05.1.

Hello,

Can you upgrade the firmware to the latest one available?

You can upgrade the firmware in the System > Firmware Tab

Hope it helps

Upgraded to newest firmware. I am still missing the ”Frequency Bands” option under Network > Mobile. I think that my hardware version doesn’t support it ( see my specs in my original question).

Hello,

Sorry for the miscommunication i have checked your device model and it is using an OLD LTE module inside that is why the network frequency band selection is not available on your device.

Thank you and have a nice day!
Stay Safe
