I’m using my RUT950 in my caravan.

If I’m visiting a campsite with Wi-Fi I’m using a Wi-Fi-extender to receive the campsite Wi-Fi and connect the extender via WAN-port to my RUT950.

If Wi-Fi is lost or if there isn’t any Wi-Fi then I’m using two 4G plans from different ISP’s.

Is there any way to see which internet connection are in use.  Wan, Sim1 or Sim2?

BR, Mathias

Hello,

Regarding this inquiry of yours. As what I understand you are using RUT950 that is connected to your Wired Internet source then you want to configure the two sim cards as the back up connectivity when the Wired network is not available. If this is the case you can configure it from the Web UI of the RUT950 you can find it on the Network -> WAN Tab.

You can refer to this link for more information: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT950_WAN#Operation_Modes

As default the router main source of WAN connectivity is Wired then the secondary is the SIM cards.

After that configuration you need to configure on the SIM Switching functionality you can refer to this link for more information.

Lastly how will you know if what internet source you are using? You can see it on the Overview Status of the router.

For more information check this link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT950_Overview

Hope it helps

Jerome

Jerome. Thanks for your answer.

I don’t understand how I can see current connection. All 3 (wan, sim1, sim2) have connection.

Hello,

Based on the screenshot you attached. You are using Mobile Connectivity and it is using SIM 1.
Also regarding this things it is best to cover your Public IP Address. I suggest remove the Public
IP address shown in the screenshot you attached.

Hope it helps,
