Hi,

I have an RUT240 and another Dlink 4G router with Ethernet ports.
I would like both of them work together, where my RUT240 is my primary and my Dlink is my secondary source for Internet.
How can I set them up, where my RUT240 is used for youtube/streaming while my Dlink is used for facebook/social media?

Please advise,

Thank you,
N

Hello!

Is it possible for you to send a topology of desired network?

Hi Aliaksandr,

Thank you for your reply.

See attached my topology.

I want the RUT240 to be used as my primary connection for watching streaming sites while a secondary 4G router is used for social media sites.

Mode of connection is either through ethernet cable or WIFI from RUT240.

Hope you can help me on this.

Thanks,

N

Hello!

As I can see from the topology, the solution assumes the operation of two WAN interfaces at once, which is unfortunately impossible on Teltonika devices. The Load Balancing functionality works only for switching interfaces according to the specified rules.

However, I think you can try to work around this. And solve the issue with additional settings.

If you do not use a wired WAN for any other purpose, then you can assign the use of this port as a LAN in the settings, as described in the instructions.

Then connect the second router to this port, thereby adding it to the RUT240 LAN network.

And the next step is to set up traffic rules in the firewall to redirect certain traffic to the second router. Learn more about the firewall and traffic rules before configuring it.

Best regards, Aliaksandr!
