Hi,

I have activated in my TRB140 the http and ssh access remotely in the WEBUI but it doesn't seem to work. I state that I have activated and running the DDNS service with no-ip.com.

On TRB140 does anyone use http and ssh remote access? Do you have to do anything special besides activating in the WEBUI?

Thanks

Do you have public ip with ur sim card operator? you have to get it from your operator or your ip will stay private and it will not be accessible from outer networks.

Sure, PUBLIC IP exists. It is dynamic, that's why I activated the DDNS service!

Hi,

First things to check would be these:

  • Do you have any port forward settings that may block connection from outside wan to your LAN?
  • That you get the correct IP address in no-ip page, and if no please check if you really have Public IP.
  • Try restarting the router so the services and configs would restart too. This sometimes helps.
  • If anything from above does not help - send me the troubleshoot file via private message.

Hi EB:

I have a similar problem. With a port forwarder set up, remote access stops working. Disabling the port forwarder allows remote access to work again. I have tried altering the WAN settings in Firewall -> Zones, but this makes no difference. Is there something else I need to do that will allow remote access with port forwarding?

Update to above:

Panic over - bad configuration of the port forwarder... doh!

But interesting to note that a badly configured port forwarder inhibits remote access across the board.

Hey ho!
