Hi there,

I have a TRB-140 with TRB1_R_00.02.04.3 firmware that I'm using to provide network access to three remote Hikvision cameras for fault reporting and time sync. I do however want to leverage the GPIO so I can remotely open a gate using SMS. I can successfully turn the GPIO on using SMS but as the relay will be controlling a gate, is there a way to have the GPIO3 state return to off after 1 second?

I've looked into using the input to trigger the I/O Juggler to activate the output (and then revert) and while this can be set up to work, I cannot get the input to change state via SMS. Is that possible?

The only way I can get the input to change is to apply voltage (12v) to the programmed input pin (4). It always only works with 12v connected. I expected to be able to ground this pin (with the input set to high) to have the input pulled down but that does not work. Only a positive input on the pin affects change.

Hello,

Regarding this query of yours could you give more details like what are you going to implement? because from the things you mentioned above i am a little bit confused and i am lost on what are you trying to do.

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. Two questions really.

  1. Can you trigger the input via SMS as I cannot get this to work?
  2. Is it possible to revert the state of the output after x time when the state is changed by SMS?

Hello,

For the usage of SMS you cannot trigger any input you can trigger only output I/O. As of now triggering the output and returning it to the state is not available in the TRB140 device via SMS but in RUT955 it is available you may refer to this link for more information the feature is Active timeout: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_SMS_Utilities#Switch_output_ON.2FOFF. As you tested you are able to do it via I/O Juggler there is another way also to activate the output via POST/GET. You may refer to this link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/TRB140_Input/Output#Post.2FGet.

Hope it helps
