Want to operate RUT955 in a car at 12V. Normally in a car there may occur overvoltages. Is it necessary to add an extra overvoltage protection to protect the router? If yes, is there an adequate product from Teltonika or is there a recommendation for such a product?

Thanks in advance for any help.

From the 955 specs

Input voltage range 9 – 30 VDC (4 pin industrial socket), reverse polarity protection; surge protection >31 VDC 10us max

So no problem on a 12V car battery
