Hi.

We have multiple remote sites with RUT-240 routers installed. All devices have IPsec VPN setup and connect back to our office. All working fine.

The remote sites have controllers for HVAC installed on them and can access fine. The controllers have two LAN ports and a single gateway IP. The gateway is normally set as the RUT address.

We have a single site where the client has access to their controller so have one of the LAN ports configured for their network but the gateway is configured as their router.

As this controllers gateway is not configured to to the RUT-240 router, we no longer have remote access over VPN to this device. Is there an easy fix I'm missing to allow access again?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If the VPN was set-up in RUT240 and it is not used as the default gateway - it will not be reachable by VPN, as the device is not in the VPN network. The only ways would be connecting the controller directly to IPSec (which I doubt it has), connecting non-RUT240 router to the IPSec VPN network, or going back to the RUT240 gateway.

Hi.

Thanks, was hoping that wouldn't be the answer! Will go back to their IT.

Thanks again.
