I want to use a RUT-955 in my campervan, I am hoping to use it for connecting to both 4G and wifi hotspots. My external antenna on the roof of my van has 2x4G cables and 2xWiFi cables, if I connect these to the RUT955 I don't understand how I will get the wifi inside the van, am I missing something? it seems that I will also need an antenna inside the Van in order to get wifi inside? so I also need some sort of wifi device or am I limited to only using the RUT955 with the RJ45 ports?

Hello,

You should be able to get wifi connectivity inside you camper van because the RUT955 can broadcast its wifi connectivity up to 100m Line of Sight. What you need to do is connect all the said Antenna to RUT955 insert a sim card then configure it as you want.

If you don't have any idea how to configure it you can check this link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_First_Start
For more details about the Wifi Range you can check this link:https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Maximum_WiFi_Range

Hope it helps

OK Thanks, Jerome, what is confusing me is that if I connect all of the external Wifi Antenna wires to the RUT-955 doesn't that mean that it will also transmit using the EXTERNAL antenna connections? If that is true it would mean that the signal inside the van would be heavily attenuated?

I am probably misunderstanding something but I have not tried to do anything like this before.

Hello,

It is best to actually test it on your side and see the results if you encounter some problems feel free to comment it down here.
