I'm beginning the configuration and testing on my RUT955.  I've got it connected via cellular with nothing enabled, including the RMS.  NTP is configured for the default of every 3660 seconds.  WiFi is disabled.  There are NO devices attached to the Ethernet ports.

When looking at my cellular traffic, the RUT955 is generating ~12.5KB up and down (total of ~25-30kb) of traffic every 30 minutes.

This is a LOT of cellular traffic for a device that is doing nothing!  What is this background traffic, and how can I determine the source and destination?  And how can I disabled this?

Hi,

Try disabling RMS and check if that reduces your data traffic. If it's not RMS - there are plenty of services that can be disabled: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Services
