Question

I  have set up IPSEC VPN  on RUTX12, i can get the VPN to work on wired connection.  disconnects when i move it onto 4G.  in the  logs it sends a keep alive to the ip address but nothing after that.

when i plug the WAN cable back in. it still does not connect.  i need to turn of VPN  then turn it  back on again to reconnect the VPN

Anyone come across this and know how to resolve it ?

Hi,

Have you tried doing it with Dynamic DNS service? With it you could connect through one hostname and depending on IP change inside the service - the hostname will forward everything in the right direction. Your VPN should be up and running automatically then.
