Question

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my RUT950 using an IPSEC/L2TP VPN from the Windows native client.I have followed this article to the letter:

I see in my logs the following:

daemon.info syslog: 11[IKE] unable to resolve %any, initiate aborted.

I am using the latest firmware and have also tried an older version, also factory defautling the device does not help.

The SIM card in my router has a fixed public IP address.

Any help appreciated

It turns out the SIM card wasn't actually giving me a valid public IP address.  It was outside of the range defined in RCF 1918 but just not valid
