Hello everyone,

I would like to know if with the RTX09 / 11/12 routers it is possible to do CA between band 1 and band 3/7/20. Can I select the bands to carry out CA with? I would also like to know if via RutOS it is possible to set a specific BTS as main / primary. My idea is to use one of these modems with 2 TIM sim (Italian operator) and use autoswith with datalimit when needed. At my house I have several BTS with these bands, 1 3 7 20.

Thanks in advance

Andrea Z.

Hi,

RUTX09, RUTX11 and RUTX12 do support carrier aggregation and you can choose to lock on specific bands. If the operator supports carrier aggregation between selected bands - it will work.

Regarding BTS - yes, you can lock on to specific cell tower within reach, for that you'll need to follow these instructions: https://community.teltonika-networks.com/4431/how-can-i-lock-a-cell

I found this on the Teltonika website:is it possible to aggregate band 1 with band 7 or 3? Could it be an error on the manual?

One the store page you can see next to the product, that it supports carrier aggregation.

If your carrier supports B1+B3/B7 and the router is regionally correct - it should work without any issues.

Also, about band combinations - you can find some useful information here: https://halberdbastion.com/technology/cellular/4g-lte/lte-carrier-aggregation

Thanks for the reply. What does B3 + B3 / B7 + B7 ... mean? Can it aggregate the same band from two different BTS?

Hello,

old topic, but anyways:  Aggregation of B1 + B3 is *not* possible - the modem seems to be the Quectel EG06-E, at least in my RUTX11, which unfortunately does not allow B1+B3 Carrier Aggregation.

As can be seen from the screenshot also. However I couldn't find this infomation on the RUTX11 pages currently.
