Using the CI:

220 MX.domain.com 

MAIL FROM: <user@domain.com>

Connection closed by foreign host

Connection closed by foreign host only happens when using a RUT, Any ideas?

May I know what are you trying to do or achieve with our device?? Are you using the latest firmware for the RUT950? 
Could you try updating the firmware to the latest one you can find the link here:
