Hi

We are using an RUTX09 to run 4x Yealink IP phones. The phones are currenly set to use static Ip's , diabled DHCP on the RUTX and all works as expected until the RUTX looses mobile signal. Once the mobile signal is reestablished and the wan is back up, the Yealink phones will not connect again until we reboot the them. We have tried enabling DHCP and setiing the phons to DHCP and the problem is the same. The is nothing else on this lan besides the 4 phones. The router is on the latest firmware.

I have tried a different make of router on this site and do not have this problem.

I was wondering if you could offer any advise?

Regards

Mike

Hello,

You have mentioned that you have used another device with phones without a problem. I am curious which device was it?

I suspect that your phones do not try to reach the DHCP server in RUTX09 after the initial connection and that is why they reconnect after you reboot them.

I suggest configure DHCP server lease time to a shorter period (something around 2-30 minutes) and test if phones reconnect after another mobile signal loss.

Regards.
