Thanks for an indication. I was thinking that simple AT commands not leading to eg a network data stream should be fine without driver software. Like an ATD dialling command that isn't interested in an actual voice channel.

If you are trying to use some other AT commands its is recommended to search for quectel maunals for more commands . About the ATD dialing

 command is something that it wouldn't do.
