I am trying to configure Teltonika RUT950 router to connect to the internet using WiFi and route the traffic via a VPN service.

The initial OpenVPN configuration was successful. My computer shows different IP address if connected via the router. However, I am having issues with setting up custom DNS on the device.

Network > WAN > Advanced Settings:
"Use DNS servers advertised by peer" is unticked.
"Use custom DNS servers": two custom addresses are filled in.

Network > WAN shows 3 DNS servers:
Two preset custom addresses and the ISP modem address.

Subsequent DNS tests show that the DNS requests are leaking, with both custom DNS and ISP DNS showing in the reports.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

Could you tell us which firmware version you are using? Also, please share your configuration information and test results where you notice that you are still obtaining ISP DNS. I will try to perform tests with my own router.

Regards.
