RUT955 as a GPS server

Seems that RUT955 can only act as a GPS client over IP. In our system we have implemented connection to a GPS device which acts as a GPS server. Several GPS devices support this mode. Is it possible to configure RUT955 to work as a GPS server? For instance in AGGsofware GPS Tracker, it is possible to connect to a GPS device acting as a server or configure the device as a client.

Hello,

Your observation is correct that RUT955 can only act as a GPS client over IP in several ways:

  • It can  send data to the AVL server
  • It can send data to any HTTP/HTTPS server
