Question

Hi All:

We have a unit that would not receive SMS messages though could send. We tried different SIMs but no luck.

We reset to factory defaults and then attempted the following:

opkg update but its failing....

This is a problem because we require the following two packages:

ip-full,

openssh-sftp-server

Its also appears that teltonika is using a "very old" version of openwrt. 15.05.1 is ancient.

We really need this fixed soonest.

This changed recently, I think its not supported to update packages like that as RUTOS is written with specific versions so could cause instability.

I tried download the ipk but no joy either.

Hi,

Could you please tell me:

- What is the firmware version installed on your RUT950?

- Have you checked if your internet connection works normally before executing opkg update?

- Putting all these other issues to the side, you can download .ipk's of the packages you need from here: https://archive.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/packages/packages/

Once you've downloaded it, just use the upload function of the package manager and your package should be installed.
