is it possible to get support for USB video in the firmware? Want to connect a USB video camera (Logitech), and use our own application to stream video to AWS.

USB video is not supported by the current firmware, and trying to add it using opkg fails:

opkg update

opkg install kmod-video-uvc

Installing kmod-video-uvc (4.14.195-1) to root...

Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/19.07.4/targets/ipq40xx/generic/packages/kmod-video-uvc_4.14.195-1_arm_cortex-a7_neon-vfpv4.ipk

Collected errors:

 * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for kmod-video-uvc:

 *      kernel (= 4.14.195-1-fa00c1231ac7d7840ec6ffe62dcad926)

 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package kmod-video-uvc.

Do not want to make out own kernel, or have to make a solution that is dependent on specific kernel versions.

Hi,

That would require I believe some firmware and maybe hardware changes to achieve this, as the USB hub right now is used only for external memory and external modem to be connected.

If you wish that we developed this modification for you - please contact your sales manager and discuss the costs and development time with them.
