Hello,

I am able to configure RUT240 to collect data from an external Modbus Slave and send the data to AWS IoT.

However, I would like to introduce some more logic; is it possible to send the Modbus data collected f AWS IoT only if the values of the registers change? From the GUI I see the "Data Filtering" option, but it can be set only to "by slave ID/IP".

Thanks,
Massimo

Hello,

Unfortunately, right now we do not have such a feature. I could suggest configuring the Modbus alarms feature. It allows you to receive SMS, trigger output or send Modbus request on certain condition met (for example if the register value is not equal to the specified one). More information can be found here: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Modbus#Alarm_configuration

Regards.

Thanks for the response.

Do you know if it is planned for some future releases? It should be important to optimize the bandwith.

I tried to search if this feature was mentioned before, but I could not find anything. If you would like, I could pass this as a suggestion to our RnD team. If they will find it useful, it may be implemented somewhere in future releases.

Yes, thanks. It would be great if it will be supported in future.
