Hello,

For this question of yours, RUT955 can work with a SD card and USB shared at the same time using SAMBA.

Mounted file systems:

Samba Settings:

Test with AndSMB:

I hope it helps

Hello Mellow,

Thank you very much for your answer and I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

I need to connect to SD card from one side via USB cable and from network via SAMBA in the same time.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Sorry, still what you want to do is not clear. From what I understand is you want to insert the SD card to SDCard to USB converter and put it to the USB port of RUT955 and do Samba share for it? If this is the case it should work.

Hi,

It is not quite so.

I inserted SD card to RUT955 and setup sharing via SAMBA. It is clear for me and it works good.
Next I want to connect PC via USB cable to RUT955 and want to use SD card mentioned abowe as USD flash drive.
I need to upload files from PC to SD card via USB cable then other users can have acces to files via SAMBA.

Thanks.

Hello,

For this kind of scenario, we are not able to do some test cases related to this. It would be best if you can test it from your side. But mostly the USB port for RUT955 is used for Memory Expansion, Samba Sharing, and Modem Dongle. Lastly, when SD Card is inserted we are accessing it through LAN cables or WiFi network in partnered with Samba.

I hope it helps.

Hello,

Unfortunatelly connected device can communicate via USB only.

So we need to find solution how connect to inserted SD card in this way.

Maybe you suggest us specialist or company who can help us with that case?

Thanks in advance.
