Would it be possible to read out the contents of /dev/rs232 by making a custom register block that points to the file? When I tried it it didn't work but maybe I didn't do it properly.

Thanks for the answer, I have been following the guide before and it all works until I get to the point where I have to set up the TCP Master slave configuration, particularly the request part. Eventhough I did exactly the same in the guid, it outputs only "\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00"
