Hello,

I have configured the TRB245 Gateway for RS232 overIP as you could see in attached file.

Unfortunetly, I cannot connect to modem from LAN. When trying from telnet on the port, I doesn't have any error message, it seems to be connected but there is no message and I can't input any command. Only a dark windows with a white blinking point.

When I try to connect with a Third part python program, I got "None" message. Same program works perfectly with Lantronix Modems (see product description https://www.coniugo.de/tl_files/dateien/downloads/datenblaetter/GSM-Modems-EN/Datasheet_LTE_Modem_USB_LAN_RS232_CAT-4.pdf).

Please, I need help to connect modem through RS232 OverIP from LAN and execute USSD commands and results.

Thanks.

Hello,

Regarding the scenario you want to implement Over IP works when the device connected to the RS232 is running a TCP/IP Port service let say if the device connected to RS232 is running Port 23 (Telnet) using the TRB245 WAN IP you will be able to reach that service but if the device connected to RS232 is not running any you cannot reach that device it is best to check the device connected in RS232 if it supports TCP/IP Ports.

For your reference, you can refer to this document: https://mega.nz/file/uhl2FCRC#q6p0jkwXYNiomha1qIFypDotLG9YQBfWyWGAbsUYTLk

Hello,

Yes, you can put 192.168.1.1 (Router IP) + the port that the service is running.

Hello,

Could'n get it. The 192.168.1.1 is on LAN not WAN. Please, RS232  overIP is supported on LAN (Ethernet port) or not ?

My objective is to connect to Modem Through R3232 OverIP from my local Network.

Thanks for helping.

Hi,

Regarding the solution you want to implement it would be best if you properly explain what are you trying to achieve a drawing or sketch of how everything will be connected with proper details will be good.
