Hi,

I use the rut240 where internet by 4G is not always available. in such case, rut240 fall back to wired WAN interface which is connected to a SATELLITE modem. In such case, data are very expensive (10$/Mb), so i want to know what WAN interface im using so i can slow down traffic if im using sattelite.

Because the system is unintanted i need to do that programatically using SSH and CLI.

So my question is, What are the command in the CLI to ask:

1. which WAN interface is currently active?

2. the IP adress of the currently active interface?

Thank you for your help?

Regards

Mederic

Hi,

ifconfig command should tell you enough about your interfaces in the router, also there you will be able to see the IP.

Thank you but not really, in the case of the RUT240 you can have 3 internet connections at the same time... via LAN, WIFI or 4G...

if im not mistaken, Ifconfig doesn't tell me which is active...?
