RS232 communication using ethernet stops after a while for some reason. The router is configured as a server. The client reports timeout error.  We have to disconnect power to get it working again. Reboot does not solve the problem. Do you know why?

Hi,

Could you tell me which device you are using? Also, please mention the firmware version too and add full configuration and topology if that is possible.

Regards.

Hi,

Could you try to upgrade your firmware to RUT9_R_00.07.00 without keeping settings?

Regards.

We can try that. It could be several days until this error occurs.

We have upgraded the firmware but still have the same problem.

The rs232 settings page is also missing for one of the routers. The /dev/ttyACM0 is missing for this device. Rebooting does not help
